Common questions

Does FMCSA approve or endorse ELD brands?

No. FMCSA states that devices on its list are registered and self-certified by their manufacturers; the agency does not endorse them.

How often should I check my device's status?

Check before purchasing and monitor FMCSA notices afterward. Devices can be removed from the registered list, creating a deadline to replace them.

Is this legal or compliance advice?

No. This page is an educational buying framework. Confirm current requirements and device status directly with FMCSA.
