TMS Comparison

Compare Trucking Management Software

A TMS should remove duplicate work between dispatch, documents, settlements, invoicing, and accounting. The right product for two trucks is usually different from the right product for a multi-office brokerage or carrier.

How to make the shortlist evidence-based

  1. 1

Map one load from rate confirmation through payment and list every duplicate entry.

  2. 2

Have each vendor demonstrate that exact workflow with your document types.

  3. 3

Ask for the total first-year cost, including onboarding, integrations, users, and support.

  4. 4

Confirm how your data is exported if you leave.

Common questions

When does a small carrier need a TMS?

A spreadsheet can work at low volume, but a TMS becomes useful when missed documents, duplicate entry, invoicing delays, or unclear load status cost more than the software.

Should price be based on trucks or users?

Either model can work. Calculate the cost at your expected fleet and office size 12 months from now, not only at today's size.

Does AICA rank these products?
